Dr. Nakayama is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) with joint appointments in the Department of Orthopaedics & Rehabilitation, Shriners Hospitals for Children and the Phil and Penny Knight Campus for Accelerating Scientific Impact at the University of Oregon. The scientifi missions of her lab is to engineer regenerative biomaterials to enhance engineered vasculature, nerve, muscle, and bone to develop therapies for cardiovascular diseases and traumatic musculoskeletal injuries.
