Isabella Vasquez is an AHA undergraduate research assistant at Texas Tech University, where she is pursuing a major in Biochemistry with a minor in Forensic Science. As a researcher in the Srivastava Lab, her work focuses on the design and development of biomimetic lipid and protein-based nanoparticles aimed at enhancing image-guided surgical interventions for cancer treatment. As a Barry Goldwater Scholar and an active member of the Texas Center for Comparative Cancer Research (TC3R), Vasquez is deeply committed to advancing the field of cancer diagnostics. Her goal is to accelerate the development of universal nanoprobe technologies for early and accurate cancer detection, bringing these innovations closer to clinical application.
