Session Title for Website and App: SIG Business Meeting: Computational Biomedical Engineering

Special Session Program

Description: The Computational BME SIG plans to provide a venue for the exchange of ideas on both the theory and application of advanced mathematical techniques to solve complex problems in the biomedical sciences. More specifically, we will discuss both mechanism-driven and data-driven modeling to systematically investigate normal and aberrant physiological processes at the molecular, cellular, tissue, and/or organ level, as well as across scales. This includes development of novel simulation-based methods for diagnosis and treatment and medical device development to improve healthcare outcomes. Indeed, we hope to be a venue for all aspects of computational BME, from deriving algorithms and models to applying them in clinical trials.
