Clayton, Missouri, United States
I’m a third-year Biochemistry, Biophysics & Structural Biology PhD candidate in the laboratories of Dr. Meredith Jackrel and Dr. Jai Rudra at Washington University in St. Louis. I graduated from Franklin & Marshall college in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology. I then was a post-baccalaureate researcher at the Vaccine Research Center at NIAID for two years where I worked on viral protein production and antigenicity studies. My research interests include vaccine development beyond infectious diseases. I plan to conduct my thesis research on engineering synthetic peptides as a vaccine platform for neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer’s Disease. I plan to become an advisor for science policy and vaccine campaigns.
